In summer or winter, the highest mountain in mainland Portugal is the perfect setting for relaxing days in contact with nature.

With a maximum altitude of 1993 meters in the Tower, Serra da Estrela is an area of rare scenic beauty with impressive mountain differences where we can live intensely the silence of the heights. And take advantage of these moments of communion with nature to observe it, noticing the variety of vegetation, the birds or the flocks of sheep guided by dogs of the breed that the Serra gave its name to.

 

When the weather is cold, Serra da Estrela is the only place in Portugal where we can practice snow skiing, as well as go sledding, snowboard or motoski. There are several slopes with support infrastructure, and we also find synthetic snow slopes for skiing at any time of the year.
